Study Program Software Engineering and Media Computing (B.Eng.)

In the first semester, the courses impart basic knowledge such as mathematics, the basics of computer science and programming languages. At the beginning of the second semester, the course branches off into the two major field of studies Software Engineering and Media Computing.
 

Major field of study Software Engineering

The methodical development of software is the focus of this major.  Specialized knowledge is acquired in the areas of software engineering, databases, software architectures and distributed systems. Specialized knowledge can be acquired within the framework of elective subjects. Upon completion of the program, graduates master the competence to develop software with high quality.

The later professional fields of activity are in the area of the leadership and project management of software developments independently of all company branches.

In the major field of study Software Engineering there is the possibility to acquire a double Bachelor degree. The second academic degree Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) can be obtained from Gannon University, Pennsyvania, USA.

Major field of study Media Computing

This major focuses on the design and implementation of graphical user interfaces for software applications. Students acquire expertise in the areas of human-computer interaction, implementation of user-friendly and accessible software, media design, computer animation, virtual reality and app development.  Specialized knowledge can be acquired within the framework of elective courses. After graduation, graduates have mastered the competence to develop user interfaces for software applications with high quality.

The later professional fields of activity are in the area of the development of user interfaces for software applications independently of all company sectors.
