The Institute of Health and Nursing Sciences (IGP) at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences was established in 2018. As part of the "Tübingen-Esslingen Health Sciences Campus" (CfG) – a collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and the University Hospital Tübingen – the IGP promotes the academic development of health professions through innovative study programmes. In addition, the Institute is actively engaged in interdisciplinary research and the advancement of the nursing profession. A wide range of partnerships with healthcare providers strengthens knowledge transfer and fosters a close connection between scientific research and professional practice. Through national and international networks, as well as cross-site research projects, the researchers at the IGP are establishing pioneering standards in health and nursing sciences.
